As cooler weather finally settles over Denton, here’s a warm roundup of news, reminders
and opportunities to help you stay connected and informed across the CVAD community.
Halloween Social
First, a huge shoutout to our student organizations for hosting an awesome Halloween

possible without these fantastic groups.

Upcoming Events
Stay up to date by visiting the CVAD News and Views: Upcoming Events webpage. You’ll find everything from guest lectures and workshops to gallery openings happening
throughout the Art Building. If you have an upcoming event, be sure to contact the CVAD Marketing Office to promote your message on CVAD's social media accounts, on the Art Building's digital
signs and on the Upcoming Events webpage.
Attention, Communication Design Students: Candidacy review materials are due Nov. 18, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. CDT. Please be sure
to get your materials submitted on time!
Federal Aid
Did you know you must submit a new FAFSA every year? The FAFSA for the upcoming academic year is now open! Start your application now through
the FAFSA website.
Scholarships
The UNT Eagle Student Services portal for scholarships will open soon. The exact launch
date has not been announced yet, but we expect it by late November. Last year, CVAD
awarded more than $280,000 in scholarships and fellowships — and the application only
takes a few minutes. We’ll share official dates as soon as we have them.
Academic Advising
Registration is now open for all currently enrolled students.
Weekly drop-ins for undergraduates take place during the fall and spring semesters:
• Tuesdays, 9–11:30 a.m.
• Wednesdays, 1:30–4 p.m.
Note: Advising calendars fill quickly, so drop-in hours are the best option for urgent questions.
To schedule an appointment, use the UNT Navigate app.
Graduation: The graduation application deadline for December 2025 has passed. If you plan to graduate
in May 2026, reach out to your advisor right away. The Spring 2026 graduation application
is now open. Check eligibility using the UNT Registrar’s PDF.
