Academic Program Demonstrations and Panels

All rooms are in the Art Building unless marked as the Art Annex, which is across Welch Street to the east. The first number of each room specifies the floor number, e.g., Room 250 is on the second floor.

10 a.m.–11 a.m.

New Media Demo: Digital Embodiment (screening will start at 9:30 a.m., demo will start at 9:45 a.m.) Demonstrations of some Human Interface Devices and screening student work in the CAVE. Room 354. 

10 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Graphic Design Demo: Vandercook letterpress printing. Room 276. 

10:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.

Photography Demo: Portfolio Throwdown. Photography work will be installed in the classroom, with students there to talk about their projects and portfolios. Room 259. 

10:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.

Printmaking Demo: Relief Printing Demonstration. The Printmaking student organization will be organizing a sale of student prints in the Print Studios concurrent with the demonstration. Room 275.

Art History Demo: The weight of power: wearing the Roman toga. Room 280come and wear a toga!

Metalsmithing and Jewelry Demo: Personalize a pendant. Join us for a make-and-take metal stamping activity. Room 171.

UNT Art Annex

The UNT Art Annex, brown brick building with a green door surround, parking lot and Art Building are in the distance.

This is the northside door of the Art Annex, a brown brick building with a green-tile surround of the door. The Art Annex is in the foreground with a long view to the west across Parking Lot #55 to the UNT Art Building. The 25,242-square-foot annex is the new home of the Studio Arts ceramics program and 40 graduate-student studios, dedicated spaces to inspire creativity and exploration.
