
Interior design majors at the University of North Texas have access to several scholarships from the College of Visual Arts and Design, as well as external partners in the hospitality industry. Most CVAD scholarships are awarded through the Eagle Scholarship Portal each year, usually with deadlines around March 1.
University of North Texas Scholarships
To be considered, you must be admitted to UNT, activate your MyUNT and EagleConnect accounts, and create a profile in the Eagle Scholarship Portal.

CVAD donors fund these awards and are specifically open to interior design majors. All amounts vary by year and available funding.
For undergraduate interior design majors at the junior level.
View and apply: CVAD Gensler Endowed Scholarship in Interior Design
For interior design majors who are first-generation college students and demonstrate financial need.
View and apply: CVAD John Herron Scholarship in Interior Design
For interior design majors who have completed a significant number of hours at UNT.

For undergraduate interior design majors.
For students in either ceramics or interior design.

Interior design students are also eligible for broader CVAD scholarships that are open to any major in the College of Visual Arts and Design.
This fund provides scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students in any CVAD major, including interior design.

University of North Texas Scholarships
Professional organizations fund these scholarships, which can be used at UNT if you meet the eligibility requirements.
The NEWH Dallas Chapter awards scholarships to students pursuing a major in interior design and a career objective in the hospitality industry, including interior design, hospitality management, culinary arts and related fields. Applicants must be enrolled at a college or university in northern Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri or Kansas. They typically must have at least a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need for tuition or approved program expenses.
