Mulberry Street Studio After-School program

Inspire Your Child's Creativity at the Mulberry Street Studio

Back of child’s head in black T-shirt with two braids and a large, lavender-colored spool of thread. She is in a gallery setting with images displayed on the wall and another student is in front of her walking.Give your child the opportunity to explore, imagine and create in a fun, supportive art studio at the University of North Texas College of Visual Arts and Design.

The Mulberry Street Studio Child Art Program is a six-week after-school experience designed for children ages 6 to 10 who love making art and trying new things. Young artists will experiment with a variety of materials and techniques while developing creativity, confidence and problem-solving skills in a welcoming studio environment.

Unlike a traditional school art class, the Mulberry Street Studio encourages children to explore new ideas through hands-on projects led by talented UNT Art Education students under the guidance of a UNT Art Education faculty member. Every class is designed to spark curiosity, encourage self-expression and help children discover the joy of creating art.
  • Learn from future art educators at one of Texas' top visual arts colleges.
  • Explore exciting art materials not typically available in elementary classrooms.
  • Build creativity, confidence and friendships in a small-group studio setting.
The program concludes with a special exhibition where family and friends can celebrate each child's artistic accomplishments.
