Design Competition by AIA Fort Worth and COACT

Open to Interior Design Students: AIA Fort Worth and COACT are teaming up to host a design competition to design a virtual gallery to display art and stories to change the narrative on student homelessness. Please consider revisiting your previous design work and submitting it for this critical narrative. Follow the link and read the project brief for more information.

IIDA SHIFT All-Virtual Conference 2021

IIDA Texas Oklahoma Chapter’s SHIFT Student Conference, Jan. 27 – 29, 2021, brings together an array of top students, educators, and design industry professionals for a multi-day professional enrichment experience. The annual conference includes project and firm tours, portfolio reviews and mock interviews conducted by working professionals, an industry expo, continuing education for professionals, and a variety of networking opportunities. 

Registration for SHIFT21 is now open through Jan. 15, midnight, or until it is sold out. All students, educators, and industry professionals are welcome!

Brinkmann Scholarship + Design Challenge, Internship Opportunities

Must be enrolled in an interior design program: The Gensler Brinkmann Scholarship is an annual award that honors Don Brinkmann’s legacy of nurturing emerging talent. This year, Gensler, a global architecture and design firm, will consider top students of U.S. not-for-profit interior design programs for the scholarship. In addition to scholarship funds awarded to winners, finalists and winners may be also considered for paid internships in a Gensler office during the summer of 2021.
