News article: Interior Design Student Presents at Scholars Day

As an interior designer, I'm driven by a passion for creating educational spaces that inspire connection, focus, and creativity. I believe that design has the power to shape how people learn, interact, and experience their environment, and I strive to bring that philosophy into every project. Since 2024, I’ve worked as a design assistant in the UNT Facilities' Office of Planning, Design, and Construction, where I’ve contributed to transforming campus spaces into places that support innovation and comfort.

Within the College of Visual Arts and Design, I’ve been honored with the Georgia and Ray Gough Scholarship in Interior Design and the Mozelle Rawson Brown Scholarship in Visual Arts. In May 2025, I studied abroad in Germany, exploring global art, architecture, and design. These experiences continue to inspire my commitment to creating spaces that are not only functional but engaging, meaningful, and human-centered.

Chilton 111: Multifunctional Education Hub, University of North Texas
Chilton 111 reimagines the educational environment at the University of North Texas as a dynamic, student-centered hub that supports learning, access to resources, and community. Informed by user experience research, active learning, and third-place theory, the design creates an adaptable and intuitive space shaped by student needs. The project brings together a flexible classroom, TRIO Student Support Services, and a student lounge called The Glade, allowing for both structured learning and more informal, everyday use. The space is designed to feel clear, comfortable, and easy to navigate, supporting collaboration, independent work, and connection in a way that encourages students to return throughout their day.
