Design blends creativity, structure, and philosophy into something deeply human. Initially architecture opened my eyes to how spaces shape experiences, while design philosophy helped me understand the meaning and function behind design choices. My interest in furniture design further cemented my passion, as I saw how individual pieces contribute to a cohesive environment. Design, to me, is about creating intentional, livable art-where aesthetics and functionality meet to enhance everyday life.
UNT has given me the foundation to grow as a designer by providing access to insightful
faculty, rigorous coursework, and hands-on experiences that challenge my creative
and technical skills. The university’s emphasis on research and real-world implementation
has allowed me to explore the complexities of project management, construction methods,
and evidence-based design. Through these experiences, I have refined my ability to
think critically about design, blending philosophy with functionality.
I envision stepping into the high-end residential design industry, working with custom-built
homes that balance aesthetics, sustainability, and efficiency. Whether through an
established design-build firm or my own future practice, I aim to contribute to spaces
that are not only beautiful but also deeply intentional in their design.
