I bring a multidisciplinary creative background in writing, drawing, photography, ceramics, painting, filmmaking, sewing and textile work, which informs my approach to interior design. I was drawn to the field by its ability to translate creativity into spaces that positively impact how people live, feel and interact.

Through the Interior Design program at UNT, I have developed a strong foundation in design principles, spatial planning and problem-solving. I have collaborated closely with peers, engaged with industry professionals and expanded my perspective through international study in Amsterdam, Netherlands, where I explored a range of design strategies and cultural approaches to the built environment. These experiences strengthened my ability to research, iterate and deliver thoughtful, well-resolved design solutions.

As I begin my professional career, I am confident that UNT has prepared me to contribute to a design team with both creative versatility and a solid technical foundation. I am eager to continue developing my skills while helping create environments that are functional, engaging and responsive to user needs.

Sorority House Design: Gamma Phi Beta at UNT
This project explores the hypothetical situation of the University of North Texas establishing a chapter of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority on campus. The design for the house would provide an inviting, accessible, safe and comfortable home for the members. The integration of the sorority’s traditions and symbols would create a positive environment that would foster strong social ties and a sense of belonging.

The house would also be usable and accessible to everyone, regardless of their physical abilities. It would also be featured with several strategies to ensure the safety of the inhabitants from natural disasters and intruders. The design would also promote a sound acoustic environment by implementing proper wall construction and soft materials to help absorb unwanted noise.

Overall, the house would serve as a place for the members to call home during their time in the Gamma Phi Beta sorority and rest easy knowing that they’re safe, wanted and valued.
