Design, to me, is the art of storytelling through space — where history, culture, and emotion shape how people experience their surroundings.

As an Interior Design student at UNT, I have developed a strong foundation in design principles, space planning, and material applications, while exploring how functionality and aesthetics coexist. My studies have deepened my appreciation for how thoughtful design can honor the past while adapting to modern needs, inspiring my interest in historical preservation and timeless design. Through studio projects and research-based design, I’ve learned to approach each space with intention, creativity, and precision.

I believe that successful interiors are not only visually compelling but also deeply human, enhancing everyday life through meaning and purpose. As I prepare to enter the professional field, I aim to contribute to a commercial firm that values spaces that enhance everyday life through thoughtful design.

Rockwall County Library
This library is envisioned as a welcoming third place that supports lifelong learning, connection, and well-being for the Rockwall community. Through biophilic design, natural light, organic materials, and calming spatial experiences promote comfort and focus. Universal design principles ensure equitable access, flexibility, and inclusivity for users of all ages and abilities. The environment, which includes areas for teens, adults and children, balances quiet reflection with opportunities for social engagement, creating a community-centered space that nurtures growth, belonging, and shared knowledge.
