My passion for interior design began as a child, thumbing through fashion and design magazines and imagining the spaces I could create. I first enrolled at the University of North Texas in 2007 to pursue my B.F.A. in Interior Design. After taking a 15-year break to start and raise my family, I returned as a mother of four to fulfill what I had set in motion. This journey has shaped me into a focused, resilient and innovative designer.

Through my studies, I’ve deepened my understanding of human-centered design and the power of well-curated spaces to enhance well-being and connection. During my time at UNT, I’ve been intentional about building strong industry relationships and gaining experience across residential, commercial, and hospitality design. I’ve also embraced opportunities to travel and to participate in professional organizations such as NEWH, IIDA, and ASID, which have expanded my knowledge, inspired my creativity, and strengthened my path toward a meaningful and impactful design career.

Big Spring Hotel
The rehabilitation of the Big Spring Hotel’s lobby, lounge, and patio reimagines these historic public spaces as flexible, multi-use environments that serve both hotel guests and the local community. Through storytelling embedded in preserved architectural elements and adaptable furnishings, the design fosters community engagement and positions the hotel as a social anchor, a place where the history of Big Spring, Texas, is experienced, shared, and actively lived. The poster displays the lobby, beer garden and floor plan next to an old photo of the high-rise hotel.
