My previous experience as an occupational therapist practicing in various environments opened my eyes to the critical role the environment plays in recovery and overall health. While pursuing my design degree at UNT, the intersection between OT and design became more evident. Occupational therapy focuses on the individual, while design focuses on physical space; both aim to optimize how people interact with their environment to enhance quality of life.

My interests lie in product design and residential design. I plan to pursue a position in residential design, partnering with a home builder or residential firm aligned with the WELL Residential program. My goal is to integrate OT and Design principles, creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional. Guided by biophilic design, EBD, universal design, and WELL standards, I strive to craft spaces that enrich daily experiences, promote independence, and support health and well-being at every stage of life.
