Trinity Conrad
My love for interior design began at eight years old when I asked, "Why create a design
that doesn’t make life better for people?"
I’ve always had a deep passion for how interior environments influence the brain and
human health. Having spent much of my childhood in medical waiting rooms, I developed
an early awareness of how design impacts psychological comfort and recovery. These
experiences inspired my commitment to creating spaces that promote healing and inclusion
for all users.
Throughout school, I found joy in designing for hospital care and behavioral healthcare,
particularly focusing on infection control and community engagement. My design approach
is grounded in empathy, evidence-based strategies, and a desire to improve the human
experience through thoughtfully designed spaces that are overlooked. I aim to contribute
to innovative environments that not only meet functional needs but also foster emotional,
physical and psychological well-being for end users.

Ark Emergency Trauma Center
Ark is a deep-sea, level I emergency trauma center designed to stabilize body and
mind after ocean-related trauma. Its interiors combine clinical precision with sensory
awareness, recognizing how light, pressure, sound, and scent shape perception upon
emerging from water. Through adaptive design, pressure-aware design, and lighting-driven
design, Ark supports the body’s vital functions while minimizing sensory overload.
Rather than amplifying trauma, the center reframes the experience. The interior becomes
an active partner in healing, supporting anxious families, guiding vulnerable patients,
and transforming moments of crisis into intentional pathways toward hope and recovery.
