My interest in design comes from a genuine curiosity about people, how they move through a space, how it makes them feel, and how a well-designed environment can change their day. I’m intrigued by the relationship between people and their surroundings and how thoughtful design can bring comfort, inspiration, and connection. I’m drawn to the emotional side of design, where function and feeling blend to create meaningful experiences.

My education at the University of North Texas has allowed me to explore the connection between creativity and purpose. Through hands-on projects and collaboration, I’ve learned that great design isn’t just about how a space looks, but how it makes people feel and live within it. These experiences have shaped my understanding of design as a way to uplift and connect people.

Looking ahead, I see myself building a career that combines creativity, connection, and purpose. I’m inspired by the collaborative nature of design and enjoy being part of the process that helps bring visions to life. As I continue to grow in this field, I aim to approach every opportunity with openness, professionalism, and a deep appreciation for the impact design has on people’s lives.

A calming, restorative space designed to help families slow down and reconnect within the urban storm.

The Hushed Wave
The Hushed Wave responds to the growing stress and overstimulation that families experience in everyday life. It creates a calm, restorative wellness environment where both adults and children feel supported emotionally and physically.

The design focuses on slowing the pace, softening the sensory experience, and creating spaces that feel safe and protective rather than overwhelming. Through intentional spatial transitions, controlled acoustics, and a balance of openness and enclosure, the environment guides users from the intensity of the outside world into a place where the mind and body can settle.

Adults and children move through the space in parallel, remaining visually connected while having the freedom to regulate independently. This helps ease separation anxiety and builds trust through design.

The Hushed Wave is not just a collection of rooms. It is an environment designed to support emotional regulation, reduce stress, and strengthen connection through a human-centered approach.
