Sean Gates is a fashion designer from the Dallas-Fort Worth region. His senior collection, titled “Moonlight Falls,” is inspired by one of his favorite worlds in the online game The Sims 3. Sean has always been captivated by whimsical and gothic aesthetics, and he aims to showcase these elements in his designs. Influenced by iconic women like Stevie Nicks, he has created this spring-summer ready-to-wear collection for both men and women.

This collection transforms garments into painted narratives, blending fashion design with surreal, hand-illustrated storytelling. Denim separates, and sculptural silhouettes become canvases for dreamlike imagery — celestial figures, rising smoke, abstract creatures and nocturnal symbolism rendered in bold color against deep indigo and violet tones.

The collection explores the space between fantasy and emotion, pairing expressive artwork with contemporary streetwear-inspired tailoring. Through painterly textures and imaginative visual language, “Moonlight Falls” captures the strange beauty of dreams, memory and late-night introspection.
