Aaliyah Uzzell graduated from UNT with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design and minors in Merchandising and Printmaking. She is passionate about Fashion Design as a vehicle for self-expression and empowerment, community and sustainability. After years of training and practice with many different materials, Uzzell considers herself a multidisciplinary artist and aims to integrate principles of art into every aspect of her work. Her skills include Adobe Creative Suite, CLO3D, garment construction, conceptual development, trend forecasting, technical design, printmaking, drawing, and painting. At UNT, Uzzell’s work was featured in staff-curated shows, including “Emergence” and “State of Black Design.” Additionally, she organized and featured collaborative work in a student-run exhibition, “Disconnect-to-Reconnect”, in 2024. Uzzell hopes to apply her creative, technical, and leadership skills to grow as an artist and designer.
