For me, design is an act of exploration. I am motivated by research that uncovers unexpected insights, concepts guided by evidence-based investigations, and interactive products that genuinely improve how people experience the world. I’m excited to see where my curiosity will take me.

A laptop appears against a light green, faded background adorned with motifs of medieval knights. The laptop displays information about the Dungeons & Dragons game. A headline to the right of the laptop reads “Enhacing D&D Learning” Many potential players are intimidated by the high cost of Dungeons & Dragons books, dice, and miniatures. This project addresses the challenge of learning D&D on a budget by offering free or low-cost resources, guides, and DIY solutions while gamifying the learning process.

Three circular photos show a hand holding rubber strips and two adults—a woman and a bearded man—laughing while using hand-injury product prototypes. These images sit to the left of the headline “Daily Living Labs” and some brief, descriptive text.Engaging in a co-creative design research process transformed what had begun as a simple experiment with 3 rubber bands tied together into a wrist-mounted device with adjustable armatures and an adaptable utensil holder. The intent of this project was to help adults with limited manual dexterity perform daily tasks — like eating — independently.

A composite image shows a construction worker on a house frame behind two smartphone screens displaying hydration-related content, with the headline “Safeguarding Hydration” to the right. This headline is placed atop some brief, descriptive text. The outcome of this project yielded a wearable hydration monitor that worked in concert with a mobile app that tracks sweat composition in real-time. The intent of this system is to provide personalized hydration alerts for people who must work outside on hot days, thus creating safer work environments.
