I’ve always been creative—drawn to art, decorating, and rearranging spaces. Like many, I was first inspired by design and renovation shows on television. But as I began exploring interior design as a college path, I quickly discovered that the profession demands far more than what’s portrayed on screen. It requires rigorous education, technical skill, and thoughtful problem-solving.

I was ready for that challenge. Influenced by trailblazing women like Elsie de Wolfe and Florence Knoll, I found role models who not only shaped the field but also opened doors for future designers like me. Their legacy continues to inspire my journey as I grow into a designer with purpose, perspective, and a deep appreciation for the power of space.

My time at UNT has led to tremendous growth in not only my design skills but also my self-confidence and determination as a young professional. UNT gave me the confidence to know that I can achieve hard things, which I believe is a fundamental mindset for an interior designer. I am excited for my journey outside of UNT because it has prepared me to pursue an interior design license and a furniture design career.
