Design showed up for me as I expanded my ability to change within the world. The need to influence and grow with the environment was tangible only through the act of creation. Change is synonymous with design; thus, design should be the form-giver for real networks to grow and take root within community. 

My education at UNT nurtured a research-based approach to design that continues to shape the way I think and create. I learned to question everything — to dig deeper and uncover the layered possibilities within every design challenge. That mindset became central to my conceptual process and inspired me to explore design’s broader impact.

This curiosity has led me to my next step: pursuing a Master of Architecture at the University of Southern California, beginning in fall 2026. As I continue to grow, I’ll carry forward the same foundational question that UNT instilled in me — “Why?” — as I seek deeper understanding and more meaningful design solutions.
