I wanted to take root in design because it has the power to transform lives. Growing up, I experienced firsthand the challenges that come with living in underprivileged communities, and i realized how much the environment we live in affects our well-being and opportunities. interior design offers a chance to create spaces that provide safety, comfort, and dignity to all.

UNT CVAD has allowed me to bloom as a designer by providing a solid foundation in both the technical and creative aspects of design. The program has exposed me to various design principles, tools, and techniques while encouraging me to think critically about the social impact of design. The opportunities for hands-on experience, working with diverse projects, and collaborating with passionate peers and professors have nurtured my growth. I have learned how to approach design not just from an aesthetic standpoint, but from a perspective of purpose creating spaces that truly serve and uplift communities.
