A collection of semi-formal ensembles that can be worn to a variety of occasions. These looks are inspired by biophilia, a term used to describe the human connection to the natural world. Featuring both knit and woven fabrics, these looks have a variation of styles ranging from feminine to androgynous to fit different identities. This is due to the lack of connection between nature and gender.
This collection presents a conceptual exploration of the relationship between nature
and emotion, translating negative feelings into fashion through both design and construction
techniques. The first look, inspired by the leaf, embodies anger, expressed through
structured gathers and dynamic strap details that evoke tension and restraint. The
second look, representing the flower, conveys stress through seam lines and slits,
symbolizing internal pressure and fragmentation. The third look, influenced by the
tree, reflects anxiety with wrapped sleeves and a corset structure, illustrating a
sense of constriction and unease. The fourth look, inspired by snow, captures sadness
through a high neckline and lace details, evoking fragility and melancholy.
