Follow up

Oct. 7–11: Chanjuan Chen, associate professor of Fashion Design, and Jeannine Vail, assistant professor of Interior Design, with support from the Charn Foundation and CVAD Cornerstone grants, led a weeklong series of workshops and lectures for Fashion Design and Interior Design students. The sessions featured international designer Leonid Krykhtin and focused on integrating AI technology into traditional design processes. After the workshops, the students will apply the AI tools they learned about in a research project within their studio courses. The project, overseen by the two professors, will explore designs inspired by a resort lifestyle theme. Students will then compare their final creations to assess how AI influenced their design process.
