To understand who I am as a designer, it is necessary to understand who I am as an individual. I am a creative. At a young age, I developed an appreciation for music and art. Being a visual thinker — drawing, sketching, and designing became the medium for my music appreciation. It was my way of understanding my feelings and emotions as well as those around me. As I grew older, these aptitudes became the passions that lead my design process.

As a designer, what is your "go-to phrase?" Developing a thorough understanding of a user group's needs forms the basic building blocks of any design process.
