Hi! I’m Annabelle Neher, a lover of the outdoors, movies, reading, and all things design. I’ve always been passionate about art and creativity, and I’ve found real joy in learning how to bring ideas to life for others through design. Empathy is at the heart of my process. I strive to understand my audience as deeply as possible, and I let that connection guide every creative decision. Spontaneity and exploration are defining traits in both my life and my design approach! I believe the best ideas come from being curious, trying everything, and never dismissing a concept before giving it a shot. As a designer, my goal is to spark conversation, represent brands and ideas in ways that feel authentic and dynamic, and ultimately create work that leaves a lasting impact.

The poster on the left features zig-zagging, glitch-like typography that visually echoes the energetic, shifting rhythm of A-ha’s Take On Me, as if the music itself is moving through the design. The poster on the right spotlights the title Carmen, with a dramatic beam illuminating Carmen herself while her shadow cast across the wall transforms into the silhouette of a bull, symbolizing the opera’s tension and the blurred line between power and vulnerability.

The Take On Me poster, left, features dynamic typography with a zig-zagging layout and glitch-like effects, capturing the upbeat, bouncing rhythm of A-ha’s iconic hit. This design earned a Silver Award in the Graphis New Talent 2023 competition.

The Carmen poster highlights the opera’s dramatic, cinematic essence, blurring the line between protagonist and antagonist. This is symbolized by Carmen’s shadow merging seamlessly with the shadow of a bull, reflecting her complex, dual nature. This poster won second place in the UNT Opera Poster Competition.

Website flats that showcases the Kubus rotherdam homes and their unconventional architecture. The Cube Houses in Rotterdam, Netherlands, are a striking set of innovative, tilted cube-shaped homes designed by architect Piet Blom to resemble an abstract forest, with each house representing a tree. This website redesign aims to allow the unconventional display of the homes and allows space for the user to easily find information about how to book a stay at the Rotterdam Kubus homes.

The campaign highlights a variety of engaging learning tools, including coloring pages, building blocks, and interactive computer interfaces showcasing educational games. ABC Mouse is a comprehensive early learning app that offers interactive games, lessons, and activities across subjects like reading, math and science for children ages 2–8. This rebrand addresses the concerns of Gen Z and Millennial parents who are wary of screen time for their kids by creating a less addictive interface, featuring softer colors and more subdued illustrations to foster a calmer, more balanced learning environment.
