Hi, I'm Zoey Long, an ever-evolving graphic designer and artist with a background in fine arts. Growing up, I immersed myself in drawing and painting mediums, experimenting with pastels, oils, and everything in between. I wanted to express myself beyond the confines of school. My early experience with traditional media has and continues to shape my design approach, especially in how I think about composition, color, and storytelling. When I discovered graphic design, it felt like a natural evolution — a way to channel my illustrative instincts into purposeful visual communication. My work is driven by a love for illustrative design, particularly in crafting engaging packaging systems, expressive visual identities, custom type treatments, and complex patterns. I see design as a way to create visual identities that reflect the core of a brand — layered, expressive and full of character.

A brand board for a redesigned Goya Foods identity featuring colorful and illustrative packaging. The new logo spells “GOYA” in a bold, geometric typeface filled with hand-drawn illustrations of crops and produce. Products shown include canned beans with color-coded labels, a rice bag, an Adobo seasoning container, and a catalog page layout featuring canola oil and coconut water. This project involved redesigning the visual identity of Goya Foods, a culturally iconic brand with a vast product range and deep Hispanic roots. The goal was to modernize the brand while staying true to its heritage, using hand-drawn ingredient silhouettes and a bold, expanded color palette to enhance recognition and shelf appeal. The new system introduced cohesive design guidelines across packaging, collateral, and branded vehicles. Anchored by Goya’s signature blue, the updated look celebrated the brand’s cultural legacy while appealing to a broader, global audience.

A festive brand board for Neiman Marcus's "Realms of Wonder" holiday campaign. The identity features elegant, whimsical typography paired with colorful, storybook-style illustrations. Shown are spreads from their 2025 holiday book with scenes like ballerinas and candy landscapes to support their fantasy gifts for the year. Realms of Wonder is a whimsical holiday campaign created for Neiman Marcus, a luxury retailer celebrated for its theatrical flair and elevated customer experience. Designed to bridge generations, the campaign evokes the nostalgia of classic holiday tales to resonate with longtime customers, while vibrant visuals and interactive elements speak to the imaginations of a younger, Gen Z audience. The identity blends playful, storybook-style illustrations with refined typography, creating a magical world that feels both timeless and fresh. Key touchpoints—such as gift packaging, a richly illustrated holiday book, and an interactive advent calendar—immerse shoppers in a joyful, immersive experience. Through bold colors, stylized characters, and enchanting scenes, Realms of Wonder reimagines holiday shopping as a celebration of tradition, fantasy, and modern luxury.

A vibrant brand identity for the sleepwear and lifestyle label “Jamz,” featuring colorful, patterned pajamas and socks with bold phoenix and koi fish motifs in rich purples, pinks, oranges, and aquas. Committed to inclusivity, Jamz offers bold, expressive designs that let all genders embrace comfort without sacrificing style. The "Solar to Nocturne" collection embodied this ethos through symbolic Phoenix and koi fish patterns—representing the vibrance of day and the calm of night—woven into relaxed, chic silhouettes. With a mix-and-match approach and standout prints, the collection encouraged individuality, making each piece feel unique.
