Greater Denton Art Council invites Amie Adelman to be Artist in Residence

Amie smiling, short hair, maroon top, woven artwork in the backgroundThe Greater Denton Art Council has invited Professor Amie Adelman to be the artist in residence, a position funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. Adelman will lead a series of workshops on creating a permanent installation made with round reed. The public can learn about working with fibers, constructing forms, and community movements. At the end of April, a finished piece will be presented for permanent installation in the arts center, 400 E. Hickory St., Denton, TX 76201.

The next Community Art Residency Workshop is called Movement & Form on April 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Festival Hall — free and open to the public.
