History + Creating the Future

From our beginnings in 1883-84 to our transformation to the School of Visual Arts in 1992-93 and our subsequent evolution into the College of Visual Arts and Design in 2007, our trajectory has consistently reaffirmed the essential role and impact of art and design in the human experience.

We commemorate our storied history and anniversaries with a day-long celebration uniting individuals from our past, present, and future, coming together during UNT's 2023 Homecoming Week.
