The 62nd Annual Voertman Juried Student Art Competition starts with a call for entries!

A time-honored tradition at the UNT College of Visual Arts and Design, the annual juried student art competition is in its 62nd year, providing yet another celebration of students' artistic achievement and promise. Started in 1960 by Paul Voertman, founder of Voertman’s store, the exhibition is juried annually by an accomplished arts professional and provides students with real-world experience. Since 1960, thousands of artists have exhibited their works, and hundreds have received cash prizes sponsored by Voertman's, 1314 W, Hickory St., Denton, Texas. This year's juror is artist Emmy Bright, who has an upcoming exhibition in the CVAD Gallery from March 21–July 8, 2023.
