Noor Fatafta

About Me: Most of my upbringing occurred in Grapevine, Texas. However, I attended eighth grade in Abu Dhabi, UAE and graduated from high school in Amman, Jordan. I enjoy finding creative solutions to problems and understanding how systems work. When not designing, I enjoy crafting and creating physical art, like scrapbooking, crocheting, painting, and sculpture. I also enjoy going to new art museum exhibitions and the park.

REC of Grapevine check-in kiosk welcome screen

To expedite the check-in process for families at The REC of Grapevine, I proposed an alternative to barcode key tags: radio frequency identification (RFID) memberships. In addition, I propose implementing a user-facing monitor, an iPad, at the front desk. The iPad will be connected to the RFID chip reader. When parents scan their memberships, they can check in their children as well by selecting their names on the screen. The iPad will speed up the check-in process because parents only need to scan one membership instead of each one individually.
