Fall 2024 CVAD Mock Interviews and Presentations for Graduate Students

In conjunction with the Toulouse Graduate School and the UNT Career Center, CVAD offers a program for CVAD graduate students interested in applying for faculty positions. This is an opportunity to build confidence and receive feedback from peers and faculty.

First, students will attend an online info session to learn best practices, typical timelines, and what to expect, presented by Delaney Smith-Vaughn, CVAD career coach, and Chanjuan Chen, associate professor and program coordinator for the CVAD Fashion Design program. The information for this session has been sourced from professors across CVAD and professional organizations such as the American Institute of Graphic Arts, AIGA and the College Art Association of America Inc., CAA.

Second, students will have mock interviews hosted by the Toulouse Graduate School and UNT Career Center. During the one-hour slot, students will interview with a faculty hiring committee and receive valuable feedback on their performance.

Lastly, students will present a 20-minute mock presentation on their work or research. There will be a question-and-answer session and feedback for each student.

Registration for each component is required.
