Paige Buckner
Hi, everyone! My name is Paige Buckner, and I am part of the graduating class of 2021. Over the past three and a half years at UNT I have loved getting involved in the program and at the college. I have been the IDSA Events Chair since Fall of 2019 and a member of NEWH and IIDA which have helped me learn so much from the vast design community across the Dallas-Fort Worth region. I have a passion for the environment and have translated that into a hobby as well as a professional goal. Additionally, I served as an experience leader for UNT Alternative Service Breaks in the environmental sector, educating students on environmental racism and activism. Finally, I have been an intern at UNT Facilities Campus Planning since March of 2019, and this experience has been the best introduction to the design community I could have asked for. This summer, I am starting my Master of Landscape Architecture and Urbanization at the University of Southern California. I am so grateful for the memories I have made in Denton and the people who have helped me to call this town my home. I am graduating feeling truly happy for these years that have changed my life. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me!
What is something that is always on your work desk?
So….many….things….mostly mugs and papers. Too many mugs. Currently, four though, so, it’s a good day.
