Throughout my college career interior design has taught me many things. The most important of which is that interior design is nothing without people; designers to create spaces, clients to create spaces for, and people to experience those spaces. Interior design is more than just aesthetics and beautiful spaces, but also caring about people and anticipating their needs on a deeper level. I have learned that understanding how a space looks visually should always be paired with an understanding of people and how they would experience a space. It’s with those skills that I’ve developed at UNT that I plan to spend my career creating safe and impactful spaces for people to use, experience, and remember.
