About Me

As a designer, I am passionate about diving into complex problems and creating solutions or outcomes that are accessible to as many people as possible. My background in studio art gives me a unique perspective on designing accessible, usable and visually compelling systems that address real-world problems on behalf of real people. Much of my inspiration has come from interacting with others (inside and outside of design) and discussing many different ways that interactive systems can be improved personally. When not latched to my computer, I enjoy trying new vegetarian recipes, vintage shopping, meeting new people, capturing photos of friends, and creating mixed media art.

What is your favorite memory in the Communication Design program?

It was probably Michael who brought fresh broccoli to our Type One class at eight a.m. (he called it “fuel for critical analysis”).
