Wheelhouse is casting for a Staging Design Assistant

Wheelhouse, the creative company owned by late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and TV executive and entrepreneur Brent Montgomery is looking for a staging design assistant. With our production companies Spoke Studios and Butternut, owned by former HGTV and Food Network President Courtney White, we make programs for Netflix, Hulu, History, HBO Max, HGTV, and others.

We are currently developing a show around a local Dallas interior designer and seek to fill a staging design assistant position to round out the cast! This person would appear on camera throughout the series and be responsible for assistant tasks explained in the following role/job description!

Job Description
The Staging Design Assistant will work closely with the lead interior designer to create the ideal look for the client’s properties. This position is temporary for four to five months. This individual will report to the lead interior designer. All work associated with the position will be featured on camera throughout multiple series episodes.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist in designing and preparing accessories and art pieces as well as any small furniture needed for the properties, and execution of getting properties ready for photography
  • Inventory management
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associates degree, 1+ years of experience in interior staging or in school for staging/interior design
  • Attention to detail and patience.
  • Must have good organizational and time management skills.
  • Must speak English, have a current valid driver license
  • Should be located in or near Dallas
