Hi, my name is Skyler Sanders, and I am a graduating senior from the 2021 class of Interior Design at the University of North Texas. In the Spring of 2016, I was recruited to the North Texas Cheer Teams and was later appointed to Captain of the all-girls teams for two consecutive years. Concurrently I gained entrance into the CIDA accredited Interior Design program at UNT, where I developed skills in rendering, design, and all technical aspects that surround the industry. In the Summer of 2019, I began my professional internship at Neiman Marcus under the Professional Set Design team where I learned staging, color theory, look book design and gained insight into professional photography. This capstone project is close to my heart as I designed two interior options for my family-owned restaurant, Spirit Grille. My grandparents purchased this restaurant over two decades ago and I have many fond memories growing up around the staff and playing throughout the booths. Looking forward to post-graduation, I am eager to start my career in any of the sectors of design and am so thankful for my years here in Denton. I truly found my home here and made memories that will last a lifetime.
