As a Process Home intern, you will work on various projects and assist our design team, gaining great experience working in a design studio environment.

Design Intern/ Process Home

The Design Intern is expected to assist in design projects in various stages – from concept ideation to implementation and production while ensuring design excellence and attention to detail at each step. You will balance several (potentially very diverse) projects for multiple clients and help our design team with various tasks in and out of our studio. We are seeking an applicant with a passion for design and creative potential that needs to be unlocked, who can work in a fast-paced environment and who wants to gain knowledge and experience in the Interior Design industry.

Essential Job Function

At the start of each week, the Design Team will review the week ahead and clearly assign responsibilities and deadlines. The responsibilities of the Design Intern will likely include some of the items* below.

  • Creating and maintaining Spec Binders for each job. Updating as required, per the direction of the Design Principal and Design Team.
  • Dimensioning furniture plans and other drawings to support the Design
  • Team in advance of deadlines or purchase orders.
  • Attending on-site meetings, documenting any design changes on-site and in the drawing set/materials
  • Completing and delivering CAD drawings for Process Home projects
  • Aiding with the coordination of custom-order jobs for our upholstery business

Education and Experience

  • Two+ years of high-end design experience.
  • Technology-driven and proficient in online communication, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Outlook Suite, and various social media and e-commerce tools.
  • Experience working in BuilderTrend and/or Studio Designer is a bonus.
  • Well-spoken in online communication for both clients and vendors.

Compensation and Benefits

The Design Intern is compensated at $18 an hour.
