Go Studio in Dallas hiring entry-level and experienced interior designers

May 4, 2022: The Go Studio, founded in 2002 in Dallas, is currently seeking to hire one to two junior and entry-level designers and a project coordinator designer with two to five of experience as their immediate needs.

Go Studio focuses on corporate design with an emphasis on Tenant Development. Designers participate in all phases of design for multiple projects. Project size, scope, budget and turnaround times vary per project. The firm is owned by a UNT Interior Design alumna Bretta Maldonado, 1993, B.F.A.

Junior Designer — entry-level, full time

Full-time positions are salary-based and commensurate with experience. Part-time positions are paid hourly. Full-time positions include insurance benefits, SIMPLE IRA plan, rotating Friday off schedule, parking / public transportation coverage, and bonus opportunities. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

Four-year accredited interior design degree; Preferred with 0-5 years of work experience

Responsibilities

A junior designer will perform some or all of the following tasks under direct supervision by senior staff members:

  • CAD production including as-built plans, space plans, pricing plans, construction documents, elevations, sections, marketing plans, lease exhibits, etc., using Go Studio standards.
  • Field verification
  • Square footage calculations
  • Finish selections
  • Research including code compliance, finishes, products and materials, and the like

Skills

Basic computer skills (including knowledge of AutoCAD and Adobe Suites)

Project Coordinator — two to five years of experience, full time

  • Field verification
  • Square footage calculations
  • Finish selections
  • Research — including code compliance, finishes, products and materials, etc.
  • Client interaction and correspondence under the supervision of senior staff members
  • Consultant and vendor coordination with moderate supervision
  • Moderate delegation of work to other staff members
  • Assistance in training and teaching

Skills

Computer skills — including proficient knowledge of AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud; Graphics and/or rendering capabilities a plus
