UNT President’s Student Success Award Recipient is Heather Close, senior academic counselor, CVAD Undergraduate Academic Advising Office.
Heather Close not only received this year's President's Award, but in 2022, the Office of the Provost recognized her with the Advisor of the Year award.
The President’s Student Success Award acknowledges staff members who have gone above and beyond their normal job requirements to contribute to the success of a student or group of students at UNT. The university is focused on ensuring every student gets the resources and services they need to succeed.
Heather goes beyond the expectations of her position to contribute to the personal, professional, and academic development of CVAD; she fosters a student-centered atmosphere, contributes to the retention of CVAD students and aids the development of student skills in knowledge, communication, or critical thinking.
