About Me: My inspiration for this collection came from my interest in Petri dish art and microscopic organisms. This inspiration is out of the ordinary for me because I used to be a big germaphobe as a kid. I've been a bit of a germaphobe for most of my life, but as a kid I was so afraid of germs that I would refuse to touch anything with my bare hands. Even though my experience with bacteria was not so pleasant I stumbled upon these colorful art pieces created by microbiologists. I was so taken aback by the beautiful emerging colors and textures grown from something I had been so terrified of for most of my life and decided to use bacteria as my main inspiration.
