About Me: I find inspiration in childhood nostalgia, such as Mary Engelbreit’s illustrations, modern media like Bee and PuppyCat, and fantastical fairytale creatures. My mother’s oft-echoed adage, “Be good, be sweet, be wonderful,” is what I believe fashion should be: good, sweet, and wonderful. As a designer, I specialize in gender-inclusive conceptual garments and strive to create narratives. I believe the world would be a more beautiful place with fashion that tells queer love stories and instills a sense of fantasy, an aurora borealis color palette, things that sparkle, soft fabrics, and handmade touches. I also enjoy contrasting those elements with references to queer sexuality.
Collection lineup illustration: From the left, it illustrates Lavender's journey. The first look shows Lavender transitioning from the real world to the game world. The second is Lavender’s “witch in training” look. The third look represents the love interest, Witch Princess. The fourth look shows Lavender after she’s been ejected from the game world, making her way back to the game and recoding it to be more magical, queer, and vibrant. The fifth look represents the wedding between Lavender and Witch Princess!
Group image of the finished five-look gender-inclusive collection. The collection captures the game-like elements, romance, and whimsy of the narrative that drives it. Though the narrative centers around these two fictionalized characters, Lavender and Witch Princess, the clothing is meant to transport any queer fantasy lovers to a more inclusive and vibrant world.
