Commencement is a ceremony that honors graduating students. While "commencement" signifies the beginning of something, in an academic context, it marks the start of your career and the next phase of your life. Although graduating from college and participating in the commencement ceremony are distinct events, they are closely related. Graduation signifies the completion of your degree requirements, while commencement celebrates your achievements and anticipates your future endeavors.

If you’re interested in pursuing these milestones, please contact Kevin Contreras, Kevin.Contreras@unt.edu, or visit our Future Students web page to learn more about the degrees and programs that can set you on the path to a successful and creative career.
