Granger Remodel & Design, GR&D, in Frisco, Texas, is looking for an interior design intern to assist with all aspects of our design process. We focus on residential remodeling and have grown quickly and our workload is increasing faster than we can manage. In the next four to 12 months, GR&D will be hiring a full-time designer. In a perfect world, this intern would be that full-time designer or would at least give serious consideration to full-time employment with GR&D when they have the availability.

This intern will have the opportunity to:

• Meet with clients to help determine the scope, concept, and selections for their project
• Work alongside our team as we take clients through our design/pre-construction  process
• Create the construction documents necessary to see a project through to completion
• Observe every aspect of a remodeling firm from sales to project completion

Qualifications and Skills

• Humility and a willingness to learn
• Detail-oriented
• A desire to work in residential design
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
• Proficiency in design software, Sketch-Up preferred

Compensation: $15/hour

• Co-working space provided
• Willing to work a minimum of 16 hours per week, possibly 40 hours a week over the summer.
