About Me

I was born in Colombia and moved to Texas with my family when I was 11 years old. I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to experience both cultures as I feel Colombian and American. A few years ago I decided to leave my job as a salesman to become a designer; it was the best decision of my life. Design has changed the way I look at the world and how I approach many aspects of my life, and I’m thankful for that. I love to experience other cultures through traveling and everything it encompasses. To me music is like food: everyone should enjoy a good variety of it. I’m into collecting “cool” napkins, stickers and any random thing I believe to be unique. When I’m not doing design work, you can find me playing hide and seek with my dogs, hiking with my fiancé, traveling or playing video games. I aim to work somewhere where I can solve problems through design and improve people’s lives. Favorite memory in the Communication Design program.

My favorite memory is when I did a study abroad trip with some of my classmates and professors. It was an eye-opening and life-changing experience that I was lucky enough to experience.
