About Me: I came to the U.S.A. nine years ago from the little resort town of Truskavets in the west of Ukraine and settled in San Antonio, Texas. At first, I did not have an exact plan but eventually decided to study. I have been drawing and painting my whole life. I love art and design, so I decided to pursue it here as I couldn’t do it at home after high school. I feel very honored to be graduating from one of the best design programs in the country. I have learned so much. I thank all of my professors for everything they have taught me and for being patient and understanding of my journey here. They showed me how crucial progress is, not perfection, how to take inspiration from practically everything, how to pay more attention to details, and how to expand my vision. As designers, we learn our whole lives, and I have learned the right approach to the research process that will help me in my career and outside of it. This program gave me so much, and I can’t wait to pay it forward.

What is your go-to phrase in this program/life? Resist the urge to decorate! (Helps a ton in the design process.)
