Lisa N. Owen elected to serve on the Board of Trustees for the American Institute of Indian Studies
March 2021 — Lisa N. Owen, associate professor of Art History, recently was elected to the American Institute of Indian Studies Board of Trustees.
The institute is the nation’s premier institution for providing fellowship support for academic research, creative projects, and language study in India. Research centers in India include the Center for Art and Archaeology and the Archives and Research Center for Ethnomusicology.
As a trustee, Owen will play an important role in regard to the policies and governance of the institute and its constituency. She will serve a three-year term from 2021 through 2024.
