Alicia Eggert sculpture selected for festival in Monopoli, Italy

Studio Art Sculpture Faculty Highlight and Congratulations: Alicia Eggert, associate professor

Alicia Eggert's “You are (on) an island” (2011-2021) was recently erected on a tiny island off the coast of Monopoli, Italy, as a part of the PhEST International Festival of Photography and Art. It will inhabit that little part of the earth for the next few months, beckoning people to consider what kind of island they’re on… is it geographical, political, ideological, or otherwise? The project was curated by Roberto Lacarbonara, faculty member, Accademia Di Belle Arti, Lecce, Italy. PhEST is organized and promoted with the support of Puglia and Monopoli Municipality, and the Città di Monopoli and Monopoli Turismo, Monopoli, Italy.
