Sept. 15: “Area 3” artists from CVAD Alicia Eggert, interdisciplinary artist and associate professor of sculpture, Zak Loyd, visual arts technician, New Media Art, Zuyva Sevilla, sophomore, pre-major in studio art, will participate in "Area 3," an immersive art exhibition; Glasstire: Oct. 1, 2020 – Jan. 1, 2021, AURORA, the Dallas-based, artist-run biennial, will exhibit in “Area 3” in a 100,000 square-foot parking garage in downtown Dallas. The exhibition will feature performance and large-scale light, video, and sound installations, visible from the safety of the viewer's car.

Sept. 14: Grace "grace otten" Otten, ('20, B.F.A., Studio Art: Printmaking) and Brooks Oliver, assistant professor, CVAD Studio Art: Ceramics; selected for the 500X Gallery's 1st Annual LGBTQIA+ Virtual Exhibition, juried by Chuck and George.

Sept. 9: Jihye Han, ('21, graduate student, Studio Art: Ceramics) was selected to exhibit at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, Fort Worth, Texas. Called Breaking Ground, the art will be on exhibition through Aug. 28, 2021.

Sept. 1: Caitlin Spencer, ('20, Art History); Denton County Office of History and Culture, Denton, Texas; "Century of Action: Women and the Vote", a virtual exhibit commemorating the centennial of the ratification of the 19th amendment in 1920. The physical exhibition is planned to be on display at the Denton County Courthouse on the Square Museum in Denton at a later date.

Aug. 31: Last day of the Distant Planet exhibition and online interview at Versa Gallery, Chattanooga, Tenn., of Matthew Ryan Johnson, graduate student in Studio Art: Drawing and Painting.

Aug. 13–18: Nasher Sculpture Garden features works by Karla García, ('19, M.F.A., Studio Art: Ceramics and Museum Education Certificate) in the artist's Home and Land Project in the Nasher Windows.

Aug. 12 and 15–22: Matthew Bourbon, professor, Studio Art: Drawing and Painting, is participating in the Conduit Gallery's collaborative group exhibition Exquisite Corpse, a fundraiser with an online preview, Aug. 12, 2020, and a physical exhibition in the gallery available to view in person by appointment Aug. 15–22. Also in the exhibition will be artworks by Martha Falsetta ('96, M.F.A., Studio Art: Fibers) and Vincent Falsetta, CVAD art faculty emeritus. 100 percent of the sales will be divided equally between the Dallas-based artist support fund, EASL, and the Black Voters Matter Fund.

Aug. 15, 7 p.m.: Over Magazine Student Organization and Bloom at Collective VR Exhibition and Zoom reception for the Over Magazine Virtual Reality Gallery

Aug. 13: Last day of The Clay Studio National 2020, biannual exhibition, Philadelphia, Pa.; juried artists include Eliza Au, assistant professor, studio art: ceramics.

Aug. 3: Deadline for Interior Design Society Scholarship Applications. The average award is $1,000 for selected interior design majors. Contact the UNT Writing Center for help with your essay.
